Lee Jung Chool, once affiliated with the Korean independence movement, now serves as a police officer for the Japanese occupation forces. Tasked with dismantling the Heroic Corps, an anti-Japanese resistance group, he grapples with conflicting loyalties. While he strives to maintain his favor with the Japanese authorities, his resolve wavers as he pursues Kim Jan Ok, a former classmate turned key resistance fighter.
