Jung Yak Jeon is a researcher and civil servant. He is banished to the far off island Heuksando. There, he becomes captivated with fish and chooses to expound on them. Jung Yak Jeon asks youthful angler Chang Dae for help, however Chang Dae turns him down. He expresses that he would rather not help a crook. Jung Yak Jeon knows that Chang Dae concentrates without help from anyone else and struggles with considering. Jung Yak Jeon then offers to trade information, with Jung Yak Jeon offering his aptitude in examinations for Chang Dae's ability about the ocean. Chang Dae acknowledges the deal. Before long, Jung Yak Jeon understands that Chang Dae studies to become effective and he becomes disheartened in him.
